How we work
- Each member commits to donating either $50 or $100 per meeting, four times per year - Total of $200 or $400 per year
- Quarterly meetings are conducted in one hour or less
- Each member is required to sign a "Commitment Form" CLICK HERE
- Any active member* may nominate a charity for consideration CLICK HERE Prior to the, 3 nominated charities will be selected at random.
- The nominating member or a representative from the organization will make a 5 minute presentation. For presentation guidelines and tips CLICK HERE . 5 minutes of Q&A will follow the presentation if members have any questions about the organization and how the money will be used
- Each member will vote by secret ballot for one of the three charities
- Each member will write a cheque (prior to leaving the meeting) for $50 or $100 to the charity receiving the most votes
- Steering committee members will give their donation to each of the organizations that was not chosen for the group donation. This way each presenter walks away with a donation for their organization
The result: $4,000 or more being donated to a local charity
Rules:
- The majority rules. All members agree to write their cheque to the charity who received the most votes
