On Monday February 13, we celebrated Galentine's Day for our 100 Women Who Care meeting hosted by the Dunnville Youth Impact Centre. For those of you that have not heard of G-Day, it is to honor the connection you have with your lady friends, whether they’re single or not, and shower them with love and attention!
The Norfolk Haldimand Community Hospice (Bereavement | Norfolk Haldimand Hospice) was selected for the group donation. They will be using the funds to run a bereavement program including a one-day camp for children and youth in Haldimand. We also heard presentations from The AIDS Network and the TEAD Equestrian Association. The AIDS Network offers services to the 1.5 million people living in the communities of Hamilton, Haldimand, Haldimand Norfolk and Brant. The AIDS Network has been the primary voice for HIV/AIDS prevention, education and support. The TEAD Equestrian Association provides therapeutic houseback riding and programs to people with disabilities. TEAD is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for children and adults with any physical, cognitive and emotional challenges.
